Zip and Paddy’s Pokemon Quest to the North (NPSF)

Zip and Paddy are off on an adventure to the Great Friendly Free Healthcare North, as they fly to the United Provinces of Canada for the #NPSummit Part IV, aided by a #freeride from Dana. As Paddy tries to finish his well overdue lab report on the flight, here’s a quick smathering of news from NPSF in Wisconsin Notes style…

SF puts down their smartphones and Poke-battles for real…

After days of searching the streets of San Francisco for Pokemon whilst accidently walking into lamp posts and rubbish bins, the Tribe took a healthier approach to “catching them all” this morning. Tribe members were assigned to Team Pikachu, Charzard or Snorlax, before battling against each other in the Pewter, Curelean and Vermilion Gyms. Drop and give us 20 reps before sprinting the hill or steps. Chaos inevitably ensued in a mix of uninterpretable accents, hill sprints and people running out of Pokeballs. At least, people got to shake out those Monday Fort Mason glutes, with more lunges, jump squats and mountain climbers. Congrats to Team Pikachu for bringing home the title!

Chris adds the Positivity Award to his resume…

The Big Cheese took home the Positivity Award today. An ever-presence at our Monday/ Wednesday/Friday workouts, Chris brings together all the qualities we try to instill in the November Project. Helping your fellow Tribe. Chris regularly loads up half of North China Tendornob Hill into his car and drives them to the workouts. Chris was also the processing half of our #YearbookPhotos team (along with Felicia), so you guys owe him a huge hug for making us look half respectable. Pushing his own limits and enjoying it in the process. Chris has took to the trails and roads this year to take on his first trail race a few weeks ago (and I hear wrestled a rattlesnake at the ITR Rodeo Valley trail race) and now is gearing up for his first half marathon at the SF Marathon. It’s been so great to see Sheesley become the heart of this Tribe over the past year or two, and a consistent source of witty humour, positivity and support for this family. He really summed it up himself with this quote: “Came for fitness, didn’t expect to join a family”.

Paddy, Zip and Laura are going to catalog their trip to the #NPSummit through a series of unorganising Insta posts, live broadcasts and Whatsapp texts (mainly to Pete Kruse). Brace yourselves. Here’s a teaser of the lads’ trip to the airport…

#RunGang’s Pokemon Theme Tune (by Mark Noviski)…

I wanna be my very best, like no me ever was
To PR is my real test, to have fun is my cause
I will travel across the town, searching for my friends
Each verbaler to understand, the ‪#‎rungang‬ never ends!

‪#‎Stormthefort‬ (Gotta do ’em all)
It’s you and me
I know it’s so early

#Stormthefort
Oh, you’re my best friends
All these workouts we attend

#Stormthefort (Gotta do ’em all)
We may feel sore
But we still come back for more
You meet me, and I’ll meet you
Then we run!
#Stormthefort
