That workout was fire this morning tribe! I mean, who doesn’t love a good theme?! And DAMN it ended up being HARD! Thanks for indulging our nerdiness and embracing our Game of Thrones sweat-fest. Also A++ to all Houses on their cheers (except for ‘fired up’ you guys get a B-).
Andrew passed the Shabooya award off to Brian. Brian is one FAST father, he’s always pushing and encouraging from the front of the pack with a big smile on his face (and his daughter Kya stole the show at the marathon cheer station- what a cutie). Big shoutout to Andrew for a full week of hilarious Sparta videos with the helmet- if you haven’t watched them yet, go check them out on the NP YWG FB page- you raised the bar buddy!
Friday we dragonboat and it’s gonna be AWESOME! If you dragonboated with us last year you know how much fun it is! And this year, it’s gonna be even harder, we’re talking race after race! Meet at the Manitoba Canoe and Kayak Centre at 80 Churchill Drive at 6am and we can get waivers signed and have you in boats by 6:14. We’ll have you off the water and fired up for your day before 7am. All levels welcome, no previous paddling experience needed. We will have 6 boats (space for 120 paddlers!!) so let’s fill them up! Avoid that FOMO and be there, it’s gonna be epic and the photos are gonna be legit!
August 18th is the Sunrise 6k Race! Tell your friends, tell your run buddy, tell your weekly run crew, tell everyone! The race will be in lieu of our normal Friday workout, and it will be doing an out and back from Assiniboine Park. The good folks at Prairie Summit are hooking us up with some sweet North Face prizes and race bibs! All levels welcome, no registration required, all coming at you for the low, low price of $0. Come and get your race on!
