I figure I’d get a head start on Thanksgiving and write my list of what I’m thankful for:
I’m thankful for everyone who has ever helped setup and take down lights at the RG stairs.
I’m thankful for everyone who has ever baked for me.
I’m thankful for everyone who helps us tag shirts.
I’m thankful for everyone who has donated paint, gloves, towels.
I’m thankful for everyone who has ever helped us clean the stencils. We appreciate this more than you know.
I’m thankful for all of the winners of the Positivity Award. We know you are always honoured when you receive it, but we are honoured that you are part of the tribe.
I’m thankful for everyone who chooses to show up and for being ambassadors of our tribe and our city.
I’m thankful for everyone who turns around when we call time on Walterdale hill.
I’m thankful for everyone who reads the blogs.
I’m thankful for everyone who has ever recruited somebody.
I’m thankful for everyone who has ever given an NP elevator pitch to someone.
I’m thankful for everyone who dresses up on dress up days, or even non-dress up days.
I’m thankful for everyone who makes arrangements for childcare or work so they can show up, even if it is only once a year.
I’m thankful for everyone who shows up 3 mornings a week. Your commitment does not go unnoticed.
I’m thankful for everyone who can figure out how to get to the Monday location on their own.
I’m thankful for everyone who doesn’t show up but still shares our story with others because they believe in free fitness.
I’m thankful for everyone who has ever taken photos for us.
I’m thankful for Jen having to go to work.
I’m thankful for everyone who has suggested workouts or workout locations.
I’m thankful for everyone who has built a sub group such as OMC.
I’m tankful for everyone’s willingness to try, take risks and trust (sometimes blindly) in us.
I’m thankful for everyone who laughs with us and at us.
I’m thankful for everyone who has been a babysitter and taken care of the tribe when Jen, Andrew and I are all away at the same time.
I’m thankful for everyone who comes for the first time in the dead of winter.
I’m thankful for everyone who proudly wears grassroots gear, especially outside NP workouts.
I’m thankful for everyone who believes in our city as much as we do.
I’m thankful for living in a city that is supportive of what we are doing.
I’m thankful for everyone who has ever shared their personal story with us through a blog, a written note, or an email. We call these “paydays” and for those who ask how we have been able to do this for so long, it’s because of these “paydays” that are shared with us.
I’m thankful for all of the organizations that have supported us in all sorts of ways, without ever asking for anything in return.
I’m thankful for all the parents who bring their kids and trust that NP is good parenting, despite us swearing each morning.
I’m thankful for the other NP Tribes around the world (excluding Calgary).
We’ve found a lot of good in this tribe.
Find the Good,
Nadim
Monday we’ll be at City Hall with one of the babysitters we are thankful for.

Love this post, Nadim! It’s the only chance my kids get to swear without repercussions 😂 Happy Thanksgiving! Us tribees are very thankful for such amazing leaders 😍
