Chuck Chicken and the Positivity Award [MTL]

WISCONSIN NOTES:

  • NP Summit 5.0 last weekend was EPIC! Witnessed amazing things and got our asses kicked by Wachusett Mountain. Happy to see NPMTL tribe members at the party. RESPECT.
  • Chuck Chicken made an appearance at our workout this morning in Montréal. He is now learning French.
  • NPMTL hands out our second positivity award to our tribe member Sulay. CONGRATS!

So tell us MONTRÉAL, how did you like that workout today? It was tough but your PRESENCE made it all that more easy. Maybe some of you might say that partner sit-ups in an incline is not fun, we had a laugh looking at you guys struggling not to slip 🙂

Seriously though, you guys crushed it today. We had all the right ingredients to start the day with a BOOM: the sun, the “not too hot” weather, smiles, hugs, dogs, laughter, sarcasm, Chuck Chicken, burpees, and ice for our friend Jeremy. More importantly, I feel that when we chose to wake up early, lace our sneakers and #justshowup at a November Project workout, we collectively choose to forget all our worries, stresses, deadlines and focus on the 40-minute workout on hand. In this connected world we live in, taking the time to live in the present has become more and more of a challenge…but I don’t feel that during our workouts. read more

HBD city of Montréal [MTL]

WISCONSIN NOTES/NOTES DU WISCONSIN:

  • This gorgeous city that we call home turned 375 today, despite not looking a day over 374.
  • Justin Trudeau was 100 metres from us and didn’t even come do a single push-up. How rude.
  • Pop-up workout (featuring donuts/coffee and prizes) at Maison de la Course Griffintown this Saturday at 9:29am
  • NP Summit June 9th-11th. Let us know if you need help finding a ride or accommodations. Details here.
  • Heather is POSITIVE.
  • Next week is yearbook photos – Nerds vs. Jocks edition so dress accordingly.

HAPPY FECKIN’ BIRTHDAY VILLE DE MONTREAL, YOU BEAUTIFUL MAGNIFICENT CREATURE.

Today we celebrated you, in all your glory, by doing 375 reps of approximately everything. Although our arms are now too jello to raise our glasses to you, please imagine figurative raising. We’ll try again tomorrow when sensation has returned. On a related note, whose idea was it to run a 375 metres sprint…twice? And yet, somehow all of these beautiful people still had smiles on their faces. Now that’s the good stuff. read more
