NP By The Numbers.

“Middle of Summer.  A lot of sweaty bodies…

Spring is good?”

“Nawwww, it’s awful!”

Well whether we like it or not, winter is coming.  While Dana and James B (not related, not married just happen to have the same first letter of their last name and to save time, word count and brain power I grouped them together…anywhooo) are off galavanting in the mountains enjoying Boston’s first official snowfall; the tribe tore apart their homes, ventured deep into their reserves (for semi-appropriate winter gear), only to make it to this mornings Destination Deck, tardy.

Now if you were at Saturday’s viewing of Dooster’s film “Showing Up” then you,

1. Had a fucking blast.

2. Heard our very own Jesse Ledin talk about being weatherproof.  [Spoiler Alert] He said something along the lines of “I love showing up in the winter, it makes me feel like I’m a really big…..BADASS.”

img_7212

Well those of you who braved those 10 millimeters of snow are model badasses. Seriously, GQ and Vogue cover status models. What was worse than the snow was the actual spot that EMC2 picked out.  In an effort to make sure we’re all primed for the winter season, we picked the windiest fucking stretch in all of Boston, because why the fuck not!  Why only be that slightly annoyed by a light dusting and a somewhat chilly deck, when we can be air dropped straight down into Jack Frost’s winter chateau, while the helicopter continues to hover over us and bombard us with it’s backlash of wind.  If that isn’t enough visual simulation for you, the only other way to truly understand this morning’s workout is by the numbers.  So here we go.

NP by the numbers :

69 just showed up.

34.5 partners.  Math.

13 people tardy.  A baker’s dozen.

4 countries rep’d (USA, CANADA, London and Polly from Boulder, CO).

4 November Project co-leaders.

2 collisions.

4 explanations of lateral step-ups to Molly Finn.

5 weird jumpy things.

25 min on the watch.

4-and-a-half pairs of exposed legs.

37+ Broken verbals from Saturday night.

We’re still waiting on final numbers of people fallen ill after inhaling that perfectly timed sewage dump…

And if you’re still on the fence about showing up to the show, there is this BIG one….

38 hours to recruit Big Papi. Read this. Yes we’re still recruiting Big Papi.

Now my vocabulary has drastically diminished being a co-leader of this tribe, but there are few words that perk me up stronger than those mini-cups of ‘spresso besides 6 AM, Wake Up, Workout, No More Excuses, Morning Guy and there’s absolutely no misreading the last line — “I’d give you all a big f*****g hug if I could.”

I don’t know about you, but he has to be taking about November Project.  The only place I know where you could basically hug this entire fucking city is at Harvard Stadium on Wednesday morning. 6:29AM So Big Papi, will we see you there?  Can we get a verbal?!  Lets get this Boston legend to the stadium.

#Thetribeisstrong. See you on Wednesday.

xxoo,

Capoze
