Grab Life By Everything, Horns Overrated (DCA)

Ok, so the saying grab life by the horns is great. Really. I’ve said it plenty. But I’m starting to think that it’s missing something. Well, a lot of things. Sure you want to grab life by the horns because that’s supposedly the best way to wrestle a bull, mountain goat, troll (what else has horns?) to the ground. But I want to propose a change to the World Institution For International Life Wrestling and Overall Badassery (WIFILWOB, not a real organization). Let’s grab life by everything. Take the negative and make it positive. Own up, grow up (unless you’re playing sharks and minnows), and JUST SHOW UP. Life is what we make it. Some of us want to make it a really great experience. It’s a choice. So why not join us. It’s a lot easier to be positive when you have the support, hugs, high fives, ass grabs, and smiles of your NP family around you.

This Wednesday, we want to honor someone that did take life by everything. Our good friend and co-leader of NP San Diego (still unsure whether this means St. James or a whales…nevermind) Ashleigh Voychick recently dealt with the passing of her mother from brain cancer. I didn’t know her personally. However, if she raised a fellow NP member, that must mean she’s cool. So we’re going to honor the incredible woman that helped raise a super awesome NP member and leader by wearing grey for brain cancer awareness. Spread the word. Let’s show our love and support.
