Gobble Squats & Costco Runs (YEG)

If Thanksgiving is something you celebrate, then I hope this weekend included a wonderful meal with family and/or friends. Myself, I made a last-minute trip to Canmore on Saturday to see a handful of friends running at Grizzly Ultramarathon and had the chance to share a meal with a few of them after. It was a truly great way to celebrate the occasion.

This morning, we prepared and shared a Thanksgiving meal of a different sort, but it had all the staples of the quintessential Thanksgiving feast: we squatted like turkeys (shout-out to Jorgen for the top notch gobbles), we worked on our stuffing with some leg lowers, we mashed potatoes with our feet by doing tuck jumps and we made vegetable push-ups (sorry, I have no correlation for push-ups and vegetables – I ran out of ideas on that one).

Oh, and last but not least, what NP thanksgiving feast would be complete without a run (or 8 runs, actually) to the imaginary Costco for the classic thanksgiving staple, Kirkland Pumpkin Pie.

Something I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving is for you for supporting me today. This was my first Monday workout as a co-leader and first time leading solo. While I certainly made mistakes, you all went along with it, had fun and shared some moments together. Thankful for all of you!

Happy Thanksgiving NP fam! Gobble, gobble

Lift each other up

Eric
