March 23, 2016 – It was an overcast morning in Seattle, but nothing this city hadn’t grown accustomed to after its first winter as an official tribe of the November Project movement. However, that morning was different. Change was in the air. After exactly 7 months of regular attendance, a Positivity Award, and a handful of workouts already led, Brian was the obvious choice to co-lead November Project Seattle. For those of you who don’t remember, here’s Brian on that chilly Seattle morning.

So what have we learned in the last 12 months? Well, I know one thing is for sure… We’re all stoked he decided to shave that beard. The biggest takeaway here: just because you can grow one, doesn’t mean you should! Isn’t that right, Kaitlin?

There really isn’t enough good we can say about Brian. He embodies the movement in his passion for community, his love for this city, and his commitment to fitness (he prefers it when it’s free). Sure, he might be a couple minutes late every now and again, but you’ll always find him with plenty of pep in his step on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Beyond that, if you’re ever looking for someone to run stairs early in the morning, dance around Discovery Park in the evening, or hit a trail run on the weekend, you can bet Brian will be up for the challenge.
As a November Project Co-Leader, you’re expected to attend your city’s workouts. Brian goes above and beyond in his effort to build community and is truly a pillar in the tribe.

This job is a whole shit ton of fun, there’s no doubt about that, but the level of dedication Brian shows is unsurpassed. As many of you know, the workouts don’t design themselves; the photos don’t take themselves then hop on Facebook and post an album; above all else, building community doesn’t happen on its own. It takes time, effort, and dedication.
So Brian, from all of us at November Project Seattle, we’re glad you’re here. If your first year as Co-Leader is any indication of what your second will look like, we’re in for a treat. Congratulations!
