We Found Some Stairs

The theme for 2017 was accountability and community; now with 2018 officially started we will take on our next theme: racing and speed.  Have we done this in 2017? Yes, but we want to take it to the next level!   Will we still have accountability and community in 2018? Fuck yeah!  As H&M looked at how the tribe grew over the past 12 months we noticed something which took over the tribe: racing.  We had people enter their first race ever, do group “runcatImage may contain: 2 people, people smiling, people standing, beard and outdoorions”, become ironmen and ironwomen, achieve their BQ, run their first half/full marathon, accomplish PRs, and ultimately push their comfort zone and fitness.  This has been a point of pride and joy culminating in over 40 tribe members competing during the Dallas Marathon weekend.  H&M have taken this growth of the tribe’s racing and competitiveness to heart and looked at how to help y’all in this journey.  Our quest to help you achieve your PRs and make you race ready started moving hills from Continental Ave to Kessler Park; which you have all seen the benefits of.  We followed that up with a Cotton Bowl workout and several FC Dallas Workouts (the next one is January 20th).  These workouts have helped make you stronger mentally and physically, but we still wanted something more consistent. read more

Capping Off a Great 2017

As we move from November Project’s birthday month into the final month of 2017 we take a moment to appreciate all that has happened over the past year.  We transitioned from We Run Big D to November Project Dallas after 2 years of pledging, had several workouts over 100 people, ventured into new parts of Dallas, expanded the community, and helped improve fitness overall.  December also marks the Dallas marathon which we have literally dozens of people racing in, so many in fact that the cheer station may be smaller than the tribe racing, but probably not.  Please tell your friends and family about the cheer station as it will be lit with dranks, signs, music and fun also please invite them to the Facebook event to help spread the word!!  The cheer station is a great recruiting time for the tribe and a way to spread the word of November Project.  The cheer station will be near the Trader Joe’s on Greenville Ave at the corner or Richmond Ave and Greenville Ave.  It’s amazing testament to the fitness and the competitiveness of the tribe that we have so many people racing in the marathon, so kudos to you!!!  You will do amazing 🙂 Please enter your info here if you are racing so we can track you 🙂 We also want to take this time to highlight our destination decks: read more

November Project Dallas’ First Workout

602 Days, 86 Wednesdays, since the first Wednesday of the first official pledge week on A Tribe Called “We Run Big D” in September of 2015, but on April 19th;  hard work, dedication, community, sweat, and love came through as A Tribe Called “We Run Big D” became November Project Dallas.  As long as 602 days sounds the roots of November Project Dallas date back even further to August 2014, or 980 days, when the group would workout in the afternoon.  This time was a learning experience not just for leadership, but for Dallas.  The leaders learned how to recruit, design intense workouts for a flat city, engage the community, and create the right vibe.  The people of Dallas learned to embrace the weird, love sweaty hugs, what a perfect burpee is, learned that when we say recruit the world we mean the world, realized that #weatherProof applies to tornados as well, and learned that screaming fuck yeah at 6:15 is the best way to start your day.  read more
