Everybody Get Your Roll On

Executive Review

We had a 7+3 workout today, with people teaming up in kindles of four to six for waterfalls when they weren’t climbing stairs. The music was #1 stunna, the people tagging energy high, the tagged undergarments on fleek.

CRTL-ALT-DELETE. Hit snooze, go back to sleep.

Long Play Version

We stumbled out of the blocks this morning. “Jump Around” went so well in my head, but sadly that wasn’t the case in practice. But that’s OK, ‘cause I’m still fly. And I’ll stick to easier lyrics from here on out*. Luckily DJ Drew got our roll on, opening the playlist with “Jump Around.”

Today is the first Wednesday of the New Year, which meant it’s also the first of the month. Like they say, “tag up, tag up, tag up, it’s the first of the month.” This month’s theme? Underwear. This isn’t a joke; we had something like a dozen pairs of skivvies, ranging in size from 4T (I’m guessing for Maria?) to adult men’s and women’s. This was presumably for the Sunday’s NP takeover of the No Pants AZ light rail ride, but it could also just be for personal use. The ringleader, who always seems to be getting the group a little out of their comfort zone, was Liesl. Little known fact: despite being one of the core members of the tribe and one who has shaped the NP ethos mostly for the better, Liesl had never adorned the Crushin’ It award prior to today. I expect something like this, only turnt up to 11.

I’m pretty sure that Jackie is back next week. And you know what that means: we’re at full strength. No more slacking, knowing there’s only one of us, that I can’t keep an eye on everybody. I hope you enjoyed it while it lasted. You can expect to be stuck in #ashleypose, sucking wind for the workout.

Until then. Fine.Fresh.Fierce.
