A New Year and a Big Ask: NP_BAL

We made15799910_1334758386587996_3530465584312137501_o it guys, it’s almost 2017. By the looks of it Sam (left) is pretty damn excited about escaping the icy grasp of 2016.

I was thinking about writing a long post about everything we have done this year, about how many people have come through our workouts, how many hugs have been given out, how many ounces of positivity was bottled. But instead, I think i’m gonna talk about the future and what we have to look forward to. Then i’m going to ask for your minds.

2016 was a tough one in many ways but NP persisted. We still brought new workouts to the table every single week, still pushed each other. We raced a million races, got faster, got slower, supported each other through it and ultimately had a wonderful year despite what the world threw our way. Sydney stepped down after crushing life for 3 years, Bryson stepped up and took off running. City Glow was the best one yet. It was all very exciting.

But i’m even more excited about 2017, and this is why. November Project was created as something different. It wasn’t a business, it wasn’t a charity…at the end of the day it was just a group of people. Sure, there were “leader people” who put in the time each week to come up with workouts, locations and partnerships, but ultimately we’re just a group of people doing what we do best: moving. We asked everyone to come to the table, to “justshowup, ” and eventually in 32 cities across the world, people began to do just that.

November Project, by it’s nature, is fundamentally something different and that means it can look or feel just about any way we want. 2017 is a new year and with that comes completely new possibilities. If you were in charge for a year, what would NP look like? What would the bounces look like? Who would you partner with? How would you welcome newbies? What new fun places would you go, how would you grow? The potential is vast, so what do we want it to look like?

Yes.

I’m asking you.

How could NP make the world a better place? Who can we help? How can we make free fitness a total game changer?

Maybe you’ve never thought about it. But 2017 is a new opportunity, a chance for you to send us an e-mail, a facebook message, buy us a beer and say ” here’s how I think NP could change this city, could change this world.” Pat, Bryson and I love November Project and want to continue to grow and make lives better, but we know none of that is possible without your help. And that’s precisely why we love it.

In 2017 the workouts will be bigger, better and tougher than ever. The tribe will be strong, that is guaranteed. But 2017 is also an invitation to show up in new ways. 2017 is OUR year.

See you here, on Friday for the last workout of 2016. More about the year to come in upcoming blogs…so stay tuned.

As always, Take Big Bites Out of Life.

Nick
