One of the things I wish I could tell my younger self is that if you intend to spend the rest of your life keeping a positive relationship with fitness then it doesn’t matter how long it takes to achieve it. I may have goals to work towards, and workouts that I need to struggle through to get to those goals, but if I plan on continuing to have the privilege of running, biking, swimming, skiing, lifting, or simply moving…then I shouldn’t care how long this intention takes so long as I get there. I don’t think anyone could call fitness a destination but I want to be able to do the things that bring me joy no matter my age.

A shared exhausted conversation with Meriam at the top of the stairs reminded me that I am grateful to NP for the ability to have a space to be consistent with my fitness journey, “does this ever get easier?” “No, you just get faster haha.” All the best things in life take a long time to build, right? Today I moved my body, on Friday and Monday I’ll do the same and I know that these activities will help me years from now in order to continue my fitness journey. This morning I needed to remember not to rush and focus on building myself over time. I’ll probably need to remind myself of this a few more times (more like a million more times).
when we all get to go bananas from time to time LOL
The wind may have been deceptively chilly on the stairs but I hope you enjoyed yourself. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your day. I hope you enjoyed the sweet Bill tag on your shirt. I hope you recover enough to see you on Friday. I hope you…
Keep being awesome,
Rob
