Goooood morning, YOWzers!
It’s been way too long since we’ve said this… but wow, there’s nothing quite like stairs for breakfast on a beautiful summer morning! Something about that feeling of anticipation as you look up the seemingly endless expanse of stairs… the confidence and determination that you carry as you start cruising your way up… followed closely by the feeling of doubt that creeps in about 12 seconds later and the instant regret that hits as your legs and lungs wonder what the heck you are doing here…?!?!? Ah. That’s the stuff.
But then… there’s the ”good job!” from a fellow NPer that reaches your ears, the feeling of the sun rising on your face, the knowledge that you are moving and sweating with some of the best, weirdest, most amazing people out there. The next thing you know, you’re pushing through the pain and reaching that top step. You may also be silently cursing one of the Rebeccas for choosing this particular moment to photograph you… but it’s all good, by the time you read this you’ll have forgotten all about the pain and be ready to do it all again next week…. right?
It is always a privilege to share the early morning moments with you each week, and yet there is something extra special about a stadium morning.
Maybe it’s the amazing sunrise pictures…

Or maybe it’s the amazing people in the sunrise pictures…

Who somehow find a way to smile through the pain…

Or give a thumbs up…

Or smile AND give a thumbs up…

Whatever it is, it’s you who makes these mornings as special as they are. Well, you and the bagels. So thank you. And – did we mention – we’re pretty heckin’ glad that you’re here.
Sole-fully,
Rebecca & Becca
