This week we regressed back into that magical, golden time in our lives, where the entire world fit within the radius of our neighborhood and everything was still fun & games. When we’re young, we start to figure out where we stand- finding our voice at home, scoping out our clique at school, knowing our favorite spot at the playground, and otherwise ruling the corner of our block. We always crave a place to belong.

Today, we did some homework (puzzles, mazes and connect the dots), while doing our #NPhomework (today’s date +10 in push ups), before diving into a tight loop of slalom runs, hopscotch, jumprope, flip cup, and frisbee for the main set of our #adultrecess workout. It seemed like the recess we all knew and loved until we accidentally started getting fit in the process.

And on the subject of belonging, Dyani and I are proud to introduce our guest blogger Todd- a fierce but reticent, stalwart but friendly, solid but soft member of our community:

“Hello, my name is Todd. I have always loved being part of a team. Growing up I was involved in team sports- I played football, baseball and basketball in high school. I played college baseball, then went on to become part of another team, which was the United States Navy.
I missed being part of a team until November Project came along- it’s what I was missing! Since I love exercise and fitness, I go to the gym but I needed another outlet to fulfill my need. And NPO was what I was looking for. A team that can challenge you both mentally and physically, and bring out the best in you.
Together wE Achieve Motivation
I am thankful for NPO and the leaders we have. No matter what weather or situation arises Wednesday mornings, be prepared for the unexpected but always expect a positive outcome with a team victory.”

We’re glad you’re here, Todd. We’re honored to give you a place on this team. You’ve earned it!
