It’s true, we Angelenos don’t have to deal with -20F temperatures or freak snow storms but that doesn’t mean that we don’t put in the winter work. This morning we enjoyed an epic sunrise along with some sweaty miles, doses of burpees, side shuffles, and bear crawls. We even braved the 50F temperature (check out our Instagram for the evidence) #weatherspoof #content

Jesse and I have been bouncing around ideas about how to keep people motivated and leaving the workouts with a natural high (no inhaling of spray paint here). Sure, we can throw some Sebastians out or create a thematic workout but it also comes down to the tribe and the effort put forth by our members.

It’s been said many times and many ways but this community thrives off the workout AND the people that show up, push themselves, push one another, and keep one another accountable.
Maybe I’m biased, but it’s been amazing to witness the energy coming from the tribe over the past few weeks. Folks keep showing up (despite the fires or temperature dipping close to 50F), bringing their friends, recruiting from the workout, and just getting shit done. For that, we are grateful.

SPARK NOTES:
- FRIDAY 12/15 – B-Lot 5:27 and/or 6:27 am. Special edition of Holiday Sweater photos so come dressed to impress. (find it via the lovely tracker)
- New Years 1/1/18 – Fun run starting at Griffith Observatory (trail). Details to come.
- Channeling Star Wars…Yoda was almost played by a monkey and Chewbacca’s voice is an electric mix of other animals (bears, walruses, lions, badgers, etc). Points if you whip this sound out at a workout.
