GETTING IN THE SPIRIT

Welcome, to THAT time of year. The ‘holidays are joyful’ and ‘home for the holidays’ type of advertisements that are sprinkled everywhere you turn. And while that can be true, it can also be overwhelming and lonely…for real, for real. New York is filled with transients and sometimes, home isn’t a reality during the holiday season.

Dog Pile

So, what does that mean for the tribe here in Brooklyn? We have the perfect solution lined up to give back and get festive:
SUNDAY, (12.3) in Ft. Greene Park at 4 PM.

Tree Lighting: join in whatever garb you like – we will meet by the Prison Ship Martyr’s Monument as per usual, AND there will be free hot chocolate & cookies provided by local shops #free.99
Toy Donation: there is an opportunity to bring an unwrapped toy to give to someone who may not open any gifts this holiday season. Please consider donating your favorite, current, or past time play-thing! #spreadlove
Post-lighting Post-up: Around 5:15 PM, once the tree is lit (Read: the lighting has taken place), we will mosey on over to Black Forest Brooklyn at 733 Fulton Street to get lit (Read: enjoy an adult beverage or two). #np_social

P.S. Join for any or all portions of the day – and bring whoever you like!
