See you next year, August (8.30.17)

Was it the gift Mother Nature gave us with this unseasonably cool August temperatures? Was it the excessive cursing we did during the bounce at the “old friend” that is the minutes 15-20 of the 30? Was it all the #RacinNPacin y’all have been doing? Was it the 100 other people running and cheering you on? Was it my squeaky voice yelling how much time was left? Was it the fumes of the #grassrootsgear? Were you trying to earn that #PRcoffee? Were you just real amped to throw everything down and #raceeverything?

WHATEVER it was that turbo boosted so many of you to PR this week, FUCK YEAH. It was so awesome to see people pushing themselves, cheering for each other and racing this morning. We know PR day is hard but it 100% serves a specific purpose. It is a reminder of why we #justshowup to November Project. Why running/fitness/ANYTHING is easier in a when you are connected to a community of people who are right there with you. As the days get shorter it is so important to remember that November Project will be there for you to hold you accountable to come join in the workouts and kick start your day with less caffeine and more connection!

We tagged A LOT of gear (thanks Shaun for 6:30!) this morning – you all earned that. Wear it with pride and use it as a talking point and #recruiteveryone to join you next time. This morning we started a new tradition with Light Street Cafe. IF you set a new PR you can trade that in for a free coffee on Wednesday morning! The #NPbreakfastcrew has been making forts out of the tables there for three-ish years and we are thrilled about this new partnership and the bonds that we can generate as a result. SO more enticement to get that PR in September!

There are some pretty fun things on the horizon at NP_BAL:

  • September 15-17 a crew from BAL heads to The North Face Madison to race in The North Face Endurance Challenge Series…in a 15 passenger van! Follow along #NPVANS or book yourself on a plane and come join us! Tribes from all over are coming and it will be a weekend to remember. Details here: https://november-project.com/race-everything-everywhere-rally/
  • September 23 – Mueveton 5K in Patterson Park – We will be setting up a cheer station during and leading a bounce before the run. We use Patterson Park every week to get our #freefitness on and this event will serve as an awesome way to support the greater community. #NPgivesback
  • October 21st – The Baltimore Running Festival – whether you are racing or not this is a day you do NOT want to miss. November Project will be hosting a water stop / massive hype cheer station. Remember to use the code: BmoreNovember if you are racing! Share that love around too.

Reach out with any questions! Roll on September!
