CANADA…EH!!

Not much more you could ask for on a holiday Monday than a belated Canada 150 birthday celebration at the Legislature fountains. I believe that we’ve started a traditional Canada Day workout – 2 years in a row establishes a tradition, right?

  • First workout of July
  • Tribe shows up in red and white (red morph suit & white fur vest anyone?)
  • Tribe searches for sunken treasure in the form of hockey pucks prescribing fitness gold – water burpees, hoser hugs, pool sprints, renditions of O Canada  etc
  • Tribe’s final push for more hips-in-hugs creates a “tidal wave”
  • Birthday BOOM splash
  • Patriotic group picture

Thank you to all everyone for jumping right in and joining in the fun. This morning was amazing! xo

Wednesday – Commonwealth Stairs – 2 OPTIONS

  • Old 96er – 5:30 AM
    • If you finished both the lower bowl and the upper bowl when we called time on Wednesday, then you are slightly behind the pace to finish the Old 96er. It’ll be a team effort to make sure we that we have good traffic flow. No one likes traffic jams. Run on the right, run faster on the left to pass. If someone is behind you on the left lane, even if you’re passing other people, you should let them through.
    • Start Order:
      • If you have never completed the Old 96’er AND completed both the lower and upper sections last Wednesday, you will be starting first. If you weren’t around today, and want to know if you’re close, you should be able to finish the lower bowl in 21-22 minutes if you want any hopes of finishing.
      • That group will be followed by those who have completed it the Old 96er before.
      • Then it will be those who are not sure how far they’re going to go in the 59 minutes.
  • 6 AM Crew
    • If you’re not planning on going all out for all 59 minutes, then you should be showing up to the 6am workout. This will start at 6am with a bounce. We’re going to expect you to be going as hard as you can for those 30 minutes too.

Friday – Waltedale Hill 6AM

Until next time…SMILE! J
