SCROLL TO THE COTTON BOWL IF YOU’RE IN A HURRY
THE VIBE The vibe that attracts our tribe. The November Project vibe originates from a couple of dudes who wanted to hold each other accountable, make their community healthy, and spread free fitness to cities far and wide. The Boston tribe was first. Then two more tribes popped up. Then two more. You get the idea. 43 cities later, here we are. And the NP momentum continues—glorious grass roots fitness, free for everyone!
Maybe you’re wondering, what was the one thing that kept people coming back?
Or perhaps you want to know what motivated people to maybe leave the fitness they were currently involved in and dedicate themselves to the wonder that is November Project for that one, two, or three days a week.
IT’S. THE. VIBE
Brogan Graham and Bojan Mandaric, Co-Founders of November Project, created a vibe that was new and fresh—one that was fun, exciting, and open to everyone. The two dudes from Boston created a community—and one where you could get a dope ass workout. It it’s infancy, the November Project was a bit more grungy and hardcore—maybe a little like race as fast as you can and let’s get after it. Today NP vibe has changed to ensure inclusivity (everyone’s invited), love, more hugs, and even more about the people the tribe serves.
Why is it about the people?
The people of the tribe ARE the tribe! The co-leaders are just there to get shit started. The people of the tribe feed off the co-leaders and create a vibe of their own. These are the vibes created within create the tribe’s inner core. The tribe’s core is what keeps people coming back to workout, even better, to be part of a community that, more often than not, becomes family. Now that you understand our vibe, let’s talk about The Cotton Bowl! WHAT!! So give out some hugs, thank people for waking up to be there, and get a great sweat on!!
THE COTTON BOWL event is Wednesday June 28 @ 6 AM. Why the Cotton Bowl and why is it free? The Facebook Event already has nearly 200 verbals! The Cotton Bowl is an iconic staple in Dallas and part of what November Project Dallas is about is setting a goal and crushing it. When we first started working out, the Cotton Bowl was something we had our eyes set on. And now, the date is now set and the Cotton Bowl is not in our sights, but its reality is only days away!! We wanted to go over a couple important tips for the success and for the hope of re-invitation to Fair Park and the Stadium. See below:
- Parking: Please use Nimitz Parking lot between gates J and G. If lot it full please use lot 12A. Please do not park on streets. Thank you

- Entrance: Entrance will be Gate K which is the main ramp leading to the filed on the most east side of the stadium close to the Midway entrance.
- Waivers: Please have your waiver printed and signed prior to arrival. We really want to start the event on time. Please be kind and remember other folks still have to get to work. Link to Waiver
- Staging area: Section 32 will be the staging area and where the bounce will take place. Please submit waiver and head to staging area section 32 which will be to your right as you enter the Gate K ramp. Section 31 will start the waves of 10-12 people. Waves will function in paced groups. For example: 5 minute mile pace go first, 6 minute mile pace second, 7 minute, and you get the point. Main reason for this is because we only have 40 minutes to get you all the way around the stadium and we want to be efficient and keep everyone at the pace that works for them, this will prevent the workout from bottlenecking and causing a traffic jam. We want to keep tis moving smoothly from start to finish.

- Workout: 36 total lower bowl sections will complete a “Full Tour” going counter-clockwise and as this workout progresses in the future, we will make adjustments and to keep it streamlined and working well. Why are we running stairs? Give this Runner’s World article a read, which explains the benefits of stairs/stadiums for runners. Again, there is a 40 minute time cap at the workout, everyone is responsible for remembering where they left off (sections completed) and how long it takes to do a full tour. The time can be recorded in the November Project Tracker. Link to Tracker

- Traffic on the steps: 10-12 people will run up the right hand side of bleacher sections and down the small steps, you can run down the right hand side of the bleachers if you are inclined to. Once you get back down to the ground level you will go to your right and run back up the bleacher steps and funnel to small steps or working your way counter-clockwise around the stadium. When you come around the end-zone on the opposite field, the bleachers turn into seated chairs and won’t be able to be ran up. Please use the stairway at that point to manage up and down flow. This area will turn into a snake type flow running cross the top and bottom rows to get to the next section. Once you get near the other end zone you will be able to run the bleachers again. We will have guides standing at possible confusing points to show you the way. When passing someone, please say loudly, “Good morning” or “Excuse me” I’m passing on your left. And just like real world driving rules, the person being passed has the right of way. Just keep in mind that if you’re going “up” stay to the right and if you’re going “down” you stay to the right. And just like the street, you always pass on the left. If you do not feel comfortable running on the bleachers at all please hold back for the last waves.

- Pace yourself this thing is a beast, bring a timekeeper, (stop watch) please keep of the grass field, pick up after yourself and your neighbor, and please please please be courteous to your fellow Dallasites. Our goal is to meet new people and bring the city of Dallas together through this free fitness movement called November Project Dallas. Let’s embrace the weird, be respectful, and show Fair Park we’re worthy of the Cotton Bowl being our forever Wednesday morning sweaty home.

Please feel free to bring water but our friends at Drink Hoist will have some rapid hydration available post workout.
