November Project Dallas’ First Workout

602 Days, 86 Wednesdays, since the first Wednesday of the first official pledge week on A Tribe Called “We Run Big D” in September of 2015, but on April 19th;  hard work, dedication, community, sweat, and love came through as A Tribe Called “We Run Big D” became November Project Dallas.  As long as 602 days sounds the roots of November Project Dallas date back even further to August 2014, or 980 days, when the group would workout in the afternoon.  This time was a learning experience not just for leadership, but for Dallas.  The leaders learned how to recruit, design intense workouts for a flat city, engage the community, and create the right vibe.  The people of Dallas learned to embrace the weird, love sweaty hugs, what a perfect burpee is, learned that when we say recruit the world we mean the world, realized that #weatherProof applies to tornados as well, and learned that screaming fuck yeah at 6:15 is the best way to start your day.

What happened on April 19th is a testament to these people some people came and went, but some remained and became the heart and soul of the tribe.  The night before the energy was palpable, many members of the tribe who have been a part of this movement for months and some cases years stated how they couldn’t sleep as something they never thought would happen was going to come true in the morning. The vibe that morning in Dallas has never been stronger and that is a testament to what these amazing people are doing: getting sweaty, screaming fuck yeah, giving out hugs, and building a community.  They attacked a workout and route we had never done before with an energy and ferocity which was amazing.   Everything from the #CheerHole to the beats, to the seat, to the leg burn, to the hugs, to the champagne, to the love in the air, and everything in between was amazing.  This all caused Brogan to step back and state wow Dallas is next level!

As much as this seems like a culmination of hard work, it is just the beginning.  There are more people in Dallas to reach out to, more fitness goals to achieve, more hugs to be given, and more lives to change.   Thank you for being part of this journey so far, there are still countless stories to be written and we hope you are all part of it.  We look forward to sharing this journey with the world and helping you along the way! #FuckYeah
