All these Enya memes, being lost at basketball nomenclature, and making a mess of Space Jam tunes really made me reminisce about a simpler time. Here’s the story about how I ended up making the move from home across the pond…. here to the Bay…
Now this is the story all about how
My life got turned over like that time my brother Eamonn drove the tractor into the ditch
And I’d like to take a few minutes, so just sit down there like a good lad
And I’ll tell you how I became the coleader of a Tribe in the Bay
Just west there of Galbally born and raised
On the farm where I spent most of my days
Milking cows, having the craic, relaxing all grand
And playing football with t-shirts as goalposts outside of primary school
When a couple of lads who were up to no good altogether
Started making trouble in the parish
I got in one little row and my mammy got scared
And said you’re moving over with Zip and Laura to the Bay
I begged and pleaded with her day after day, “Ah Mam, you wouldn’t send me over there would ya? I’ll be grand. I swear on my mother’s grave. Ah shite!”
But she packed my gear bag and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss, the flights and the visa
I turned on the wireless on and said I might as well head there for the craic sure!

Aer Lingus Economy class, jaysus this is grand,
Drinking orange juice out of a pint glass, with ice in it and all
Is this how the lads over in the Bay are living it up
Here sure this musn’t be too bad altogether!
I requested a GetAround and when it came near the
License plate said ‘#RippedByZip’ and had a Davidson sticker on the boot
If anything I could say that this car was rare enough I tell ya
But I thought now forget it, sure I’m home in the Bay
I pulled up to Alta Plaza about quarter past six
And I yelled to the driver, “Here Lad, check ya later!”
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there
To sit on those steps in the Tribe by the Bay.
SPLASH! (Drops the mike. Walks away)
