As I write today’s blog post this morning I am reflecting on the similar experiences I had this Monday compared to last Monday.
Last Monday morning I:
- woke up at 7:30AM EST to go for a run, this morning it was 5:30 MST. that’s pretty much the same.
- ran in 23+ degree weather, this morning -3, I guess they both have 3s?
- had so much sweat in my eyes they stung, this morning my hands were so cold they went numb…if you read that quickly with some rhythm, stung and numb almost rhyme. (I know up just went back and read that again, maybe even out loud with some rhythm, like a limerick…fun right?!).
- played beach volleyball and had sand everywhere, this morning I kept getting snow in my pants during my hoisy J’s…sand vs. snow, they’re both white?
- felt the ocean breeze in my hair, this morning it was Marc’s breath during the picture…not quite the same, but close.
- had pineapple, made to order cinnamon crepes and omelets, while sipping mimosas, this morning I munched on sugar cookies and drank tea…I didn’t have to make either breakfast myself so that’s a checkmark.
- got to hang with family, laugh, tell stories, this morning I hugged, high 5ed and hung out with some of the coolest peeps in Edmonton….basically, I am surrounded by the best people!
So pretty much my 2 mornings were the same!
As much as it is wonderful, relaxing, necessary to get away and rejuvenate there truly is nothing quite like home and being surrounded by your people. Thank you all for making the choice to #justshowup each and every morning!
