Ambassadors of SHREDMONTON (YEG)

Howdy! Hope your week is off to a good start! Read on for some international attention we just got…

Over the past few days, many of us took advantage of an opportunity to volunteer with The Style Experience FIS Snowboard Big Air World Cup over at our summertime NP home of Commonwealth Stadium. The event organizers were looking for people to carry snowboards and got our name from the City as the resident stair climbers. While we didn’t bill this as an official NP event, Rob and I thought it was a really cool opportunity and way to give back to the City for letting us use the stadium, so thank you to all who signed up and participated! read more

#NPHolidaySongs (YEG)

Welcome to December, friends! Fittingly, we welcomed the festive month with a snowy workout this morning.

The holiday season can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. For one, there are many different holidays that are celebrated this month. Also, for many, it’s a joyous time, and for others it can be a difficult season for a variety of reasons. One thing that’s a constant though, is that NP will always be here, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, holidays and non-holidays. So, whether you need a group of people to celebrate with, or a group of people to lift you up, know that we’ll be here for you always. read more

Blast Off to Sleep (YEG)

Today was a good old fashioned “adult recess” Monday workout, complete with playground time and a silly whisper bounce. (Side note: I love whisper bounces – it’s so ridiculous to be both shouting “blast off” and at the same time whispering so you don’t bother the nearby residents. It’s pure NP silliness and I’m a huge fan) read more

Morning Show 📺 (YEG)

As we always say: “you can do anything for a minute.” Well we all proved that true today! Hope you enjoyed this morning’s 30-in-30 workout. This one is an old favourite of mine – it sounds so easy but it’s actually really hard!

In case you missed it, on Saturday morning Rob and I were on Global News to talk about NP. If you’d like to watch our interview, you can see it at this link (note to self: I say “umm” a lot – I’ve been trying to fix this for years 🤦‍♂️) read more

I Wanna Know (YEG)

What a great morning we had today! Some workouts just seem to have a special vibe that I can’t explain. Today’s Walter workout certainly had that for me.

This is an interactive blog, meaning that if you’re reading this and have something to share in response, please reach out!

Here’s what I want to know: Assuming you’re one of the many who have fallen in love with this NP community, what was the moment you realized it? Was there a special workout that you remember where you knew this was the place for you? Was it a conversation with a co-leader or new friend at NP? Was it at your first workout, or sometime later-on? Did happen gradually over time, or was there an aha moment? read more

Public Service Announcement 🔑 (YEG)

***play some intense instrumental music & read this in a very serious tone***

Last Friday morning at Walterdale Hill, between the time of 6:05am and 6:35am, I became the latest victim of a plague that has affected many in our November Project community. The condition is known as Lost Keys.

It began as a normal, unsuspecting Friday; I showed up at 6:00am, did a bounce, ran some hills, did some announcements, and took a picture. As usual, I then went to my vehicle to leave. I reached into my pocket, and it was at that moment that I made the shocking discovery. My pocket was empty. My keys had escaped. read more

Costume Royalty (YEG)

Hope you’re all having a safe day! Construction-worker Rob and I are happy to report that we are 100% incident free today at NP. Thank you for obeying all signs and conducting yourselves in an orderly fashion 🚧👷‍♂️

I’d like to use this Halloween blog post to acknowledge and celebrate two legends of November Project Canada: Tom and Christine Loo. read more

Lab Report (YEG)

I’m not sure how many times I’ve been part of a conversation on this topic, but it’s a lot. The topic of discussion is the height of the Royal Glenora Stairs. We do these stairs every week of the winter, but do we know how much elevation we gain each set? Many claim to know, but there are conflicting opinions. read more

A Teaser of What’s to Come (YEG)

Friends, on this snowy Monday, I am feeling particularly excited about NP.

Why? Well although it’s getting colder and darker out, there are so many exciting things to look forward to in the world of NP. Rob and I met this weekend to do one of my favourite activities: a planning/brainstorming session. We talked about all sorts of ideas, workouts, events, initiatives, etc. and it has me so pumped about the next few months! read more
