#ComeAsYouAre

This phrase has two meanings for me:

  1. Nirvana song title – great song. great band. Miss you, Kurt.
  2. One of November Project’s Community Agreements that you can find on the HQ website AND the pink buff.

This was our theme for this year’s Yearbook Photos and we felt it was an important one. One that would really allow people to truly show themselves, be proud of who they are and allow us to capture a snapshot of their amazing personality. In congruence with this theme, we also asked everyone to proudly wear their Rainbow Tag shirt – this showing that everyone is welcome, that this is a safe space, and that all we want is for you to #JustShowUp.

There have been a vast amount of people over our almost 7 years that have come through our group; some have stayed, some have moved on, some have come back and some we never see again. There are no hard feelings because we know you will have a story about that one time you went to an early morning workout and someone was dressed like a banana.

What? That’s completely normal. But the thing is, we remember you too. Not always your name  (sorry) but when/if you return, we remember and we are so excited to see you again.

For those who have been here since the beginning or have quite a few years under their belts- HOLY SHIT! You are just as dedicated as the leaders and quite frankly YOU are the ones who make this group what it is.

Each and every one of the outstanding individuals who not only showed up during the crappy, wet, snowy winter and then through the two stints of ZOOM workouts, YOU WERE THERE.

YOU MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.

YOU ARE THE DRIVING FORCE.

7 YEARS OF WORKOUTS… of laughs, cries, hugs, high fives.

Dance parties, cheer stations, treats and coffee.

Wins, Losses, PR’s and prizes.

This week isn’t about just NP Vancouver turning 7… it’s about all of you who have made it happen every damn week!

SO PLEASE COME AS YOU ARE and MAKE THIS OUR BEST YEAR EVER!

ROAR!!!
