embracing the unprecedented (Ottawa)

With all of the unprecedented times that have happened, that are about to occur and to the future times we cannot yet predict. We are hoping to embrace a little bit of these unprecedented times with some precedented events.  Sorry, what?

Okay here is what we are looking to do/create/fuel your fire/foster warmth in the cold days of fall.  With your help we would like to create a moving target of an event.  When we reminisce about past events we think of times like the crate escape, social poster making, bowling nights, holiday runs, mural runs and picnics in the park.

Here’s what we were thinking…well to be honest we want to know what you’re thinking.  We want to hear your ideas. We want to find/discover ways in which we can connect and come together without actually being together.

We are hoping that this blog inspires you to help us create one, two or maybe a couple events that people can feel safe and comfortable to take part in.  Here’s the kicker we want to challenge you to think outside the box.  Think about the history of the city we live, sweat and breathe in. Think about the locations we often meet at and the locations we never seem to meet at, including the virtual world.  Think about places inside your city that you have never thought to explore or learn about.  We are asking this because we want to continue fostering and creating an inclusive community here in Ottawa.

We are not looking for submissions for our next event tomorrow but we would love to hear from you.  Whether you’re reading this from your apartment in New York or while in Ottawa working at home-post coffee chats we want to hear from you.  We’ll give ya a some time mull it over some apples and cinnamon.

Send over your ideas to November Project facebook page and if you don’t have facebook feel free to send us a direct message on Instagram, or comment in the blog below.

Thank you for sharing your virtual smiles with us, your moves and grooves and best yet your Wednesday morning. Special shout out to Alana and Rebecca for helping making the music dreams come true!

Here’s to bringing soles together,

Lauren and Liz
