Dear Cory,
We are going to freaking miss you! Actually, we are going to miss your leadership, because hopefully you aren’t going anywhere & we will continue to get to see you at NPVB workouts in the future. Your retirement day may be today, and work may be taking more of your time these days, but know that you always have a spot at the top of Mount Trashmore waiting for you.
You woke us up and shook the crust from our eyes with your fun & quirky bounces. No matter how tired we were, after a few minutes singing along, our day was always off to a better start.
Without you, so many of us would have never learned to love triathlon. Preparing and hosting November Project’s first NP-TRI will always go down in history. From Beach Cruising friends to dedicated Ironman athletes, you showed VB that anyone can do it, and have a blast.
We can’t forget the formation of NP Swim Team, definitely a first of it’s kind in the NP world. Morning swims sessions lead by mama shark will not be going anywhere. Just Keep Swimming!!
You always ensured that we were playing safe, following the rules, but most importantly, having a great time! Our Wednesday’s were always filled with sweat and smiles with you at the throne of goose poop mountain. And we can’t forget about the Fridays! Friday Funnies & enough Dad jokes to fill a novelty bathroom book always started our weekends off right.
Cory, this Wednesday may be your final workout as co-leader, but your kindness, compassion, energy, humor, and friendship will always live on. Thank you for everything that you have given to our NP family and to our VB community at large. Your time leading was a gift, one that we will forever cherish.
