For some reason, I have it in my head that Dawson Park is dark, cold and wet. Actually, I know the reason. The reason is that the first time we ever visited that location, it was raining as we were jumping over the weird wooden structures there. I actually enjoyed that workout, but for some reason, when Jen suggested that as the location, I thought to myself “Jen LOVES Dawson Park, and I have no idea why?!” Many of you won’t remember that workout. Some of you may remember when we told you to meet there, and then proceeded to get on dragon boats for our workout. And quite a few of you will remember earlier this year when Andrew hosted his trivia workout. And you will all remember today’s weird workout. Every now and then we’ll talk about a past workout and you probably have no idea what we’re talking about. The truth is, there isn’t a single person who has been to every single workout. In fact, only 4 people who went to the first ever workout still show up. So, whether you’ve been to every Summit or no Summits, whether you witnessed the NP Wedding or were part of Parking Lot Month, or if you signed the waiver for the first time this morning, the only thing that truly matters is if you showed up, today. To steal words from a side of a building: “Showing up. It’s the most NP thing you can do.” But it’s true. Being present and contributing to the energy every morning is biggest way to contribute to the tribe and get a pulse on everything. For those that showed up this morning, thank you. And if you couldn’t make it this morning, or if you’re nursing an injury, or we haven’t seen you since the first ever workout, your membership has never expired and we’d love to have you contribute to the energy every morning.
Fun fact: I was extremely proud of Jen when I saw Downward Dog Peeing on the list of exercises this morning. Unfortunately, I don’t know her abbreviations as well as I thought.
Find the Good,
Nadim
