So, Casey was on blog duty this week but apparently his office internet is down so we will have a joint effort as he texted me his intro. Which, you can probably tell is by Casey as he, much like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Seuss, has a very specific rhyme scheme.
Casey: “Absolute smash and thrash of the stache dash this mornash (Dutch for morning, ask anybody at NP_AMS)!! Andy is getting triple teamed on the college football burpee bets, so good luck to him this weekend.”
Mustache flight pattern on the South Stairs – always a doozy and great way to earn the holiday tomorrow!

He then send me notes of which I will expound.
Casey: “Andrew rocking his speech”.
Shaw’s narrative: Between workouts, Andrew gave us a remarkable and moving speech about his accomplishments, what he has overcome physically, mentally, and emotionally over the years to become the outstanding man and athlete he is today. He touched on his four year varsity experience in high school which was against all odds as he was in physical therapy for many years prior to that. After high school he became a four time Special Olympic medalist, and will be looking to repeat at the 2018 World Games in Seattle! We all know of his most recent accomplishment of qualifying for Boston, and he ended with a sincere thanks for being inclusive…which is something that NP and this whole tribe strives so hard to be. He eloquently concluded his speech by asserting that it is “not pity that he (and other athletes and people with disabilities) seeks, but our respect”. Well Andrew, I can tell you that with as hard as you work, while continuing to motivate, encourage, and lead others in November Project and throughout the community…YOU HAVE IT. Hats off to you and we look forward to continuing to watch and stand beside you as you accomplish so much more!

Speaking of Andrew’s accomplishments, the Pacers (whom we are allowing to use our workout space to play basketball on) will be recognizing Andrew on December 8th. We are getting a group block of tickets, you can sign up on the GOOGLE DOC HERE to be included in the group block. The game is against the Cleveland Cavaliers, which means tickets are a little pricey ($54 for our section) but on the bright side you get to see LeBron James flop and flail around the court like one of those windsock dancing guys they have outside of used car lots. We can also all take bets on who takes their shirt off first – Andrew or J.R. Smith. Here is the Facebook invite also – please let us know by next Wednesday (11/29) if you want to be included in the ticket block.
Casey: “Laker dinner/Friendsgiving”
Shaw’s narrative: Mark your calendar for Sunday, December 10th for our NP Friendsgiving hosted at the Laker’s house!! Details to come, but it will likely be late afternoon (3pm or so), all are welcome (kids, spouses, significant others, side pieces), it will be a pitch in..so maybe just bring a side dish instead (separate google doc for that forthcoming).
If you are running in the Drumstick Dash in Broad Ripple tomorrow – meet at 8:30am for a pre-dash pic!! If you are Turkey Trotting, or Gobble Galloping, or Chicken Chasing, or whatever cutesy ass name they come up with for a Thanksgiving run near you – post that in the Social Group!!
Friday morning we WILL BE WORKING OUT!! Meet at the Obelisk Square which is the fountain just north of the War Memorial

Have a great Thanksgiving all!! You earned it!!
