This morning was filled with a hodge-podge of feelings. Many were excited about the awesome opportunity to try out some lululemon gear at the workout. Lulu had their #thetesttruck onsite which was pretty sweet. This little truck is clear and plays music while housing a treadmill for product testing. Catch it several other locations in the Twin Cities this month!

Others were overwhelmed with “good-bye” feelings which seem to be a mix of sadness, well-wishing, and “hang on forever, let’s never let go.” Yesterday morning November Project Minneapolis said goodbye to a powerhouse of a man. This guy has been here with November Project starting was back at the beginning over 5 years ago. This guy helped build not only one, not two, but THREE tribes up throughout his stay within each of three cities (Boston, NYC, Minneapolis). This guy is my friend. My running buddy. Another crazy nutso person like me that would get up at 4:50am to bike and meet me at 5:30am to run BEFORE Wednesday workouts. This guy was a cyclocross bike nerd. This guy is a triathlete, a #NP_Tri athlete. This guy’s name is Ian Bachman-Sanders and he’s on his way home to the #Mothership now. Boston, treat him well. Ian, Minneapolis will always be one of your homes.

Feelings aside, we did do a workout yesterday. #NP_Hunt was an idea hatched by workout designer Ben Bauch who along with Natalie and myself stayed up late into the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday in order to make #NP_Hunt a success. Just kidding. We slept like babies. #NP_Hunt was an awesome new workout platform for us though. The workout began with a single task written on a piece of poster board. The list of tasks grew each time the leader of the pack headed back to home base to check the board.

This allowed tribesmen to challenge each other throughout the workout and race to the unforeseeable finish line. Because the task list kept growing but all the tasks were listed out, each individual was able to complete the list at his/her own pace.

Once the last task had been completed by the pack leader (determined by time elapsed), the leader let out a great wolf HOOOOOOWWWWWL! Signifying the end of the workout. The tribe gathered for a few announcements, more feels about Ian, his wife Christine, and their awesome live-in temporary roommate dog Charlie, and called it a morning. #WednesdayEarned
