Nadim and I give Jen a hard time about her counting system for race day stairs. I think it’s mostly because that’s too much counting for us simple boys at 6am… In all honesty though she is totally right that you should be keeping track of your progress on days like today. Whether you do the 1.1/1.2/1.3….. system that Jen likes or you just hit start on your GPS watch and spend half of your workday on Strava, measuring and charting your activity will help you. We are a very diverse group and progress means something different to all of us but all of us should have an idea of what it means to ourselves. Write it down, define what progress is to you. Share it with the world or don’t share it with anyone, whatever works for you. I like this article which talks a little more about it. Finally, if you have not yet downloaded Strava… do it already! We have a NP Canada Running Club and Biking Club on there and will most likely start using it more for things like Sunrise 6k and other special events. It’s also a great way to see what all of your new NP friends are up to and jump into weekend runs/bikes/paddles with them. Good social media 😉
Friday Hills at Walterdale…. like you didn’t know. Xo
