Greetings Earth!
We have a blog now, which is great because now we have a way to infiltrate the rest of your week. Here we will recap the workouts, keep you abreast on anything going on with NP across the globe, hit you with announcements, and say some of the most inspiring shit you’ve ever heard.
We dubbed today’s workout the NASCAR workout because we pretty much just ran in circles for a long time as hard as we could, and of course spiced it up with some other exercises. We also worked on some more explosive movements during the warm up including full on sprints. As always, it was tough and you guys rocked it. If you weren’t there, you certainly missed out and more importantly, WE missed you.

We had a positivity award winner this week, Maya Joharchi! Don’t let her soft spoken demeanor fool you, Maya is a powerhouse. Since she found our tribe a few months ago she has been a staple in the weekly NP London diet ever since. She’s always good for a smile and a hug, works her butt off, and is a bigtime recruiter. So thanks for being you Maya. Boom.

It’s that time of year again when each week starts getting a little bit darker and the air is a little cooler, but the tribe just keeps getting stronger. We find that exhilarating. We are #weatherproof. And while it might seem cool to act tough about the weather, it’s really not that big a deal if you have the right gear. As the mercury drops, if you’re wondering what to wear, feel free to ask us any questions you have about that. But the gist is: warm layers with a waterproof outer layer…but focus on the warmth. Eventually, everything gets wet.
Also, keep supporting each other! Not only with high-gives during the workout, but holding each other accountable as well. You have been doing a great job with our #justshowup motto- but we’ve noticed the snooze button getting the best of some people at points. Not a problem…there’s an easy fix for that…drop a #verbal. That’s right, tell somebody else in the tribe that you are going to be there in the morning to hold you accountable. Because if there is one thing I can guarantee you each week other than a badass workout, it’s that when your alarm clock goes off, the first thing that little voice inside your head is going to say is “fuck that”. It happens to all of us! But the key is- you don’t have to listen. You can take actions in spite of that little voice, in fact we want NP to train you in that. That little voice is designed to keep you safe which can be good at times, but it’s the same voice that makes excuses for you when you are trying to decide to talk to a cute girl/guy, and gives you reasons not to ask for a pay raise at work, or apply for that job you’ve always wanted. In order to expand your life you sometimes have to deal with discomfort and the risk of failure. This can require contradicting that little voice. While it may seems silly, we think keeping your word to yourself and to others at NP is a great place to start! We’ve got your back!
This Saturday, we are going to meet at 3pm for some trails and hills in Hampstead Heath. Meet us at the top of Parliament Hill (the spot with a good view) at 3pm. Additionally, keep your diary’s clear on the 27th of October for the NP Halloween party. Location TBD, but it will be a pub in central London starting around 7:30 pm. I am going to be dressed as my hero- Steve Bergantino riding a horse.
So far your #NPsuperman submissions have been weak. Mainly non-existent. Simon is running away with the competition with his very artsy rendition of himself playing the guitar (did you know Simon is in a band! And they are good?! Seriously what can’t this guy do…). My dog is a close second. Don’t let my dog win please.
That’s all for now. We love you.
