Whoop! PR Wednesday is back, baby!
… Ew, I really don’t like how it sounds when I say “baby.” I don’t know what kind of guy can get away with that, but it’s not me. I think unless you’re talking about an actual baby, or you’re Vince Vaughn in Swingers, we should NOT be using that word collectively as a gender. It’s kind of like how I feel when I say “ladies.” I tried it out this morning at #EARLYGANG because “Let’s go guys” was starting to feel both a little trite, and a little unbalanced, but something about a guy in short shorts yelling “let’s go ladiesssss!” feels very Richard Simmons to me. Am I over thinking this? Am I too concerned with gender normative stereotypes? Should I actually be aspiring to be more like Richard Simmons? Someone please help me out here, and if you have any suggestions for motivational phrases to yell during workouts that aren’t “Nice job!” “Way to go!” or “Keep it up!” please do let me know. Maybe I should keep with the Swingers theme and start shouting “YOU’RE SO MONEY AND YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW IT!” during workouts? Yes? Ok cool. (By now everyone should realize that I watched Swingers last night. Great flick.)
Regardless, PR Wednesday is BACK … amigos! #EARLYGANG had a solid crew that cleared the fog for #LATEGANG. Gil Levy CRUSHED his PR and took down the #EARLYGANG title. Ali Fauci cut off over 30 seconds from her PR and is still hungry for more.
#LATEGANG was dominated by Amy Leedham, who set a new women’s record of 21:58. The bar has been raised! Will Oberle narrowly took the men’s race over Hutch, with both of them healthily under 18 minutes. Those are the top two non-Irish times, and worth of some serious praise.
FRIDAY HILLS! 5:30am and 6:30am at the Warming Hut Café in the Presidio – just past Crissy Field. SEE YOU THERE!Share via socials:
