” I too am not a bit tamed, I too am untranslatable, I sound my barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world.”- Walt Whitman
I have heard that if you quote Whitman before noon it’s the equivalent of 1000 mind burpees. I do mind burpees while sitting in my office chair to keep my mind’s core sculpted and lean. I’m quite sure Whitman would have had something badass to say about today’s foggy morning. There is something utterly majestic and mind blowing about watching 150 people emerge from the fog ready to sweat. Gio’s photography from this morning captured it. The tribe is epic…and a little scary.
Now, looking at this morning’s photography you might think , ” jeeze, these people are really serious about fitness.” Well we are but that doesn’t mean we can’t keep our usual hooliganism at an absolute maximum. We stumbled into an absolute epic opportunity this morning in that our two group photos are absolutely prime for photoshopping. So we are launching a little contest! Read on…
Here are your canvases:
Contest Rules: Take one of these photos ( maybe the one you’re in) and drop it onto whatever sort of wonderfully epic scene you want. Put us on top of a mountain, or in front of fire breathing dragons or in the middle of a jazzercise routine. Once you have photoshopped us, post it to the November Project Baltimore Facebook page. Nikki was talking about filling the background with cats…which freaks me out but will probably illicit at least one giggle as I crush the rest of my mind burpees. Have fun.
- Mark it: December 6th, Saturday – 8:00PM: CITY GLOW. Get prepared for the epic winter run/workout/party. Be on the lookout for an event invite
- Thursday, Nov. 27 (aka that day we give thanks) – sign up for the Gobble Cobble Turkey Trot 7K
Keep doing millions of mind burpees and taking huge dinosaur-sized chunks out of life,
