The morning started out brisk but ended with warm, sweaty hugs. Just as it should be. Today marks #sunrise6k 3.0. Although a bit nippy, the temperature was 15+ degrees warmer than #sunrise6k 1.0 and without wind. The sidewalks were slick but not an issue for the warriors of #NP_MSP.
Starting in the center of the Stone Arch Bridge, the course took the tribe left to travel down scenic Old St. Anthony Main. Another left at the train bridge just past Central Ave and around Nicollet Island to complete the 6-shaped course, turn back around, and come back. Male and Female winners received 2 lb bags of Gold Metal flour to go along with our iconic location. For the men, we had a 2-way tie: Jeremy Reichenberger and Chris McLeod came cruising down the bridge to finish at exactly the same time. Audree Goodew took 1st for the women. Reichenberger also left with the lumberjack award. Also, a special shout-out to our own ray of sunshine Rachel White. She knocked 6 minutes off of her #sunrise6k time. Way to go Rach!
