Stone Cold @ the Stone Arch (MSP)

Minneapolis’ tribe gathered around a new beacon this morning. Today’s workout began outside of the Mill City Museum, looking at the Mississippi River and Stone Arch Bridge. The morning was cold, nearly snowy, yet still energetic. Most of us have gotten comfortable with the fact that Minnesota has 2 Winters… OR no Spring. Still waiting on confirmation.

The workout itself began with a quick warmup across the Stone Arch and back, moving as a herd. We then moved up the river bank briefly to the Bridge Memorial, where we based our main workout. Five times down and up the hill. Each hill rep supplemented with some agility-type weaving, pushups, burpees, and “Jumping-Johns” (formal Jacks).

The last charge up the hill was broken up with lunges, followed by a final mad dash to the top of the near by grassy knoll. We finished on top of the knoll with some core work, hugs, and photos for proof of our high velocity morning.

We run & smile on in cold, wind, rain, and snow. Hop aboard! MSP is strong and excited for all newcomers.
