QUEENS for a Day (NYC)

You Dip, We dip, the Tribe Dips!

The Tribe took on Queens today–our 3rd borough! We’re gradually taking over the city one borough at a time.  Staten Island and Da Bronx, stay tuned.

NP_NYC  converged onto the site of the 1964 World’s Fair faster and more furious than the aliens in Men In Black.  Tribe members came via all modes of transportation: on foot, on two wheels, the underground/aboveground electric railroad (7 train), and a hovercraft.

With the U.S. Open in full swing the Tribe was in full tennis gear–headbands, wristbands, skorts, and short shorts.  Wait, that sounds like an typical workout. Whatever.   We did the famous workout, Ball Boys.  We partnered up and while one badass ball boy planked, the other badass ball boy ran across the grass to grab tennis balls. The tennis balls had both a number (pink) and activity (yellow). The ball boy would then run back and both ball boys would do X exercise, X times.  Hardcore caveats were yelling ACE (had to run around unisphere once) and DUECE (twice). We took this match to 5 sets.

High Knees! The world is your oyster!

We also threw tennis balls at our birthday boy, Steve. Welcome to a new decade.

Next Up: Meet us at Gracie Mansion, Wednesday at 6:28 a.m.   There will be a 5:30 a.m. group if you need to go earlier or want to do a double. Bring strangers!

Special send off for the NP_NYC’ers who are heading off to Madison to REPRESENT!
