POWERBLOG; New Leader, Billions of Dollars, and Hundreds Of Small Dogs (SF)

We love, love, love when you all come up with workout ideas for us that are challenging and also fun. Huge thank you to Iain and Shannon for brainstorming Powerball themed workouts with us and also purchasing the tickets given out today. Here is the blog written by Iain Macdonald himself:

Today, tribe members casually competed for the chance to win $1.5 billion. The workout consisted of running corners and doing exercises, with each rep earning tribe members a ticket into the NPSF PRE-POWERBALL LOTTERY which, unlike the real powerball, consists of drawing index cards out of a garbage bag (because it was supposed to rain).

While everyone won the prize of free fitness for life, only five tribe members won the golden tickets. These five have a 1 in 292,201,338 chance of winning the $1.5 billion jackpot tonight, minus the $100 million NPSF tax. If anyone does win, we can test the merit of the age-old adage: “Mo’ money mo’ problems.” We asked them what they would do if they won.

Kate: $1.5 billion of cotton candy (save some for dentist bills, Kate!)

“Josh :-)”: no-show

Nora: Buy a million small dogs

Perry: Buy a house (maybe in Sacramento, Perry)

Pepperoni: no-show

Sarah Ting: donate to the dog shelter

Sukant: Distribute it to the tribe members

If the tribe needs suggestions for what to do with the $100 million NPSF tax, here are some ideas:

  • Buy every house around Alta
  • East bay school bus, driven by Mitch
  • Subsidized breakfast gang
  • Guest workout lead by MC Hammer
  • Field trip to Fiji

On top of all that amazing-ness, the tribe got a new leader, Josh Zipin. We’re looking forward to seeing what great ideas he can bring to the quad-fecta of leadership we now have. Maybe an official #tweeners? Maybe the secret sauce to get those abs? Only time will tell. All we know is that we’re super excited. Congrats, Zip!
