We had a hot one in PHL today. Most humans showed up at the workout already sweating (and probably sleepy & dehydrated) after a well spent night of fun on the city streets teaming up with our friends over at RUN215 for #nightshiftPHL part two!
We knew we’d be short on rest, but that didn’t stop any of us from bringing the heat today – running Indiana Jones sprints around The Art Museum steps “loop” until each member of your team has sprinted, then dropping for ten push-ups, rinse – repeat! Hear the megaphone siren and sprint up and down The Steps.
Props to Dan for guest bouncing in Layo’s absence – boy you’ve come a long way in a short time! Congrats to Gary for being the first to threepeat our esteemed Hard Hat Award! And thanks to all of you for just being you! Have an exceptional day – you earned every smile, hug and positive vibe you put out into the world! Keep up the great work!
Wednesday June 3rd It’s National Running Day & Philly Beer Week – grab a gently used pair of running shoes (or pretty much any shoe, or BOTH) and bring them with you to the workout for #shoesandbrews . ShoeBox Recycling will tally the weight and donate $.50 per lb to Back On My Feet Philly & Students Run Philly Style. Shoes will also earn ya a brew from Souther Tier or Two Roads Brewing Company! RULES: Must be 21 to receive a brew, you must have ID and you must not drink brews on The Steps. (We’ll have root beer for non drinkers & the kiddos too).
Mayor’s Cup: We will be fielding a team for the first annual Mayor’s Cup event on August 8, 2015. Richie G. is spearheading the official NP team. Each person can sign up for one event so let’s coordinate via this google doc to nail down out this team will be assembled.Share via socials:
