If November Project San Diego was a child, and I was one of those obnoxious mothers, I’d tell you that NPSD is 21 months old (just say “almost 2″…seriously). And in those 21 months, we’ve NEVER done an official beach workout. Which is crazy, since 50% of our workouts occur within 2 miles of the beach. So today, today was a special day. Today we got sandy.
From thousands of hoistees to beach front hill repeats to crab walks and bear crawls in the sand, it was a good morning. Ashleigh came back from her worldwide trip, bringing the #dynamicduo back in action. Holly won a Lego man for being a faster sand sprinter than JD. Jimbo got the cape for helping give Ashleigh 1/2 of her DNA (and for being generally awesome). And we finally gave some of you a reason to jump in the ocean at 7:30AM.
This is just the beginning of the fun we have planned for summertime in San Diego. And with Ash back, you definitely don’t want to miss out on the weirdness that comes with her.
Next MONDAY the #Sunrise6k returns for it’s summer running! We will meet just south of the pier, on the sand, in PB to run 6 kilometers, ending on the pier. As usual, wear colors of the sunrise (pink, orange, yellow) and get ready to race. Can you set a new PR?
See you all Wednesday at Balboa Park . Remember, parking is free at either the Natural History Museum or Fleet Science Center.
Be happy. Be strong. Be bright. Good luck washing the sand out of hard to reach places San Diego.Share via socials:
