National Running Day & #ShoesAndBrews (PHL)

Happy National Running Day to ALL!  If you made it to this morning’s workout, you know we brought the holiday in with a resounding BOOM and a ton of #GrassrootsGear.  Bart Yasso and his team from Runner’s World joined us and generously donated a couple hundred shirts which were then VERY generously tagged by Suzanne, Keith and Alex.  THANK YOU!

In the spirit of the day and to benefit our friends at Back On My Feet and Student Run, Tribemembers who brought a pair of shoes received a beer or root beer courtesy of Jon at Southern Tier or Lee at Two Roads.  Our friends at Philly Runner also gifted coupons for discounts on shoes.  THANK YOU!

This morning’s workout consisted of a game of tag and sprinting on the loop around the Art Museum Steps, hoistees, burpees, push-ups, and NEWS.  More than the workout, this morning was an awesome display of the incredible community we have within the Tribe and beyond.  Our city and community is becoming a more connected place and this morning was a shining example of just that.  Whether it was your first workout or you have been a regular with us since the beginning, thank you for coming out and throwing down!

One last GIANT thanks to Gary who snapped the amazing photos today!
