November Project has always been about making our cities more connected through free all-level fitness.
So when Florent & Fauve told us they wanted to launch a little challenge to get people moving and try to go visit a different running club int he city every day for a week, I immediately thought it was an amazing idea. Now, a couple of weeks later, they have organized a full-out open challenge for everyone with some cool prizes to win.
I’ll let the two of them explain in both anglais et French, in good Montréal fashion!

– English version –

Montreal is lucky to have a large number of running clubs! It’s quite interesting to note by the way that for a number of people going to these different runs, they often have a common link, like November Project for instance!

Even if the common aspects between these clubs are inclusion, their social aspect and that they are free, since they often take place in different parts of the city and at different times it means that, generally, we might only go to one or maybe two different group runs. And, let’s be honest, that’s already wonderful!

However, starting from that, a few weeks ago, we decided to trial the “Montréal Grand Slam”, a challenge that would push us to go to a different run group every day during a week. And even if it was physically demanding, we loved the concept so much, we wanted to create a complete and proper challenge around this idea.

And so was born the “Grand chelem de Montréal Grand Slam”, unique, inclusive and bilingual like our beautiful city.

During 2 weeks, from January 13th to 26th, we are inviting all that are interested to join the Strava group “Montreal Grand Slam of Running” and to go run with as many different running groups as possible!

The objective: to run with a minimum of 3 different clubs during that time period of 2 weeks.

We also have the pleasure to collaborate with our friends at Ciele Athletics to be able to draw 4 spectacular running caps from their collection.

To participate, simply make sure that you are in the Strava group, record your runs on Strava while making sure to clearly indicate the name of the club you were running within the title of your activity. And, to motivate you even more, the more groups you visit during the challenge, the bigger your chances of winning!

More information can be found on the Instagram account @mtl_gs

On it, you’ll also find a complete schedule of the organized runs.

With time, we got to know and love these different clubs and especially the people that compose them. If we can motivate others to do the same, just that alone will make this challenge a success!

Happy running everyone!
