There’s something so beautiful about a simple workout. Sprint up a hill. Jog down the hill. Do a little salsa. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. It’s meditative. It’s therapeutic. You just get lost in your own thoughts as you fall into the rhythm of the run. You start thinking about the things that are really important to you. Community. Family. Finding a bathroom. Who brought the donuts? I love all these new faces! Have you ever had to poop so bad that you thought you were going to throw up? How can I pack more hugs into my day? There better be one of those donuts left when I get done! You know… the important things. It’s in those moments where I find my best ideas, and where I find my largest emotional breakthroughs.

But that’s why we’re here. We’re all a little bit weird. We’re all a little bit nuts. That’s the best thing about this family that we call November Project. We see the weird. We embrace the weird. We love the weird. We are the weird. There’s a place for all of us, and that place is here.
So, in the Lieutenant’s absence, we’re going to rock the boat, but this ship still sails! Onward, into the sunrise… Because mornings.
