Friday Morning Lights in Bernal (NPSF)

Big ups to Dana and Andrew for babysitting the Tribe today, whilst the coleaders played Duck Duck Goose and ran up ski slopes at the #NPSummit (and to Elese for helping with the photos). Here’s some words from our guest leaders. And who has the video of Kenny Wong telling us the history of Bernal Heights?
Today, the tribe was left to their own devices as our fearless leaders are away in the Great White North on important #worldtakeover business. Andrew and I were pumped to be tapped as guest leaders this morning, and to bring the tribe to one of our favorite spots in the city, Bernal Hill (aka Andrew’s back yard). Andrew led a small fearless #earlygang crew, and then a big crew showed up for lategang. After discussing the merits of the breakfast cereal choices of our new recruits, we did a little Friday Night Lights-themed bounce and Andrew led the group on their first long lap of Bernal. Karl the Fog was present but not overbearing, so we got lucky with some pretty sweet weather and above-average city views. Pretty soon 30 minutes were up, and Kenny Wong told us all the history of Bernal Hill, with only slightly more stereotypes than I expected.
Great showing by all this morning– the tribe definitely earned their weekend! Happy Friday, y’all! Just remember: Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose!
