Farewell Frogust + Volunteering (BOS)

Welp. We did it. Four whole weeks of Frogust and we all survived. Some of you even set giant goals and worked toward them, crushing obstacles and doubt along the way. Whether you Tadpoled, Pollywogged, Frogmaned, or Bullfrogged this month, it was an opportunity to show up. Like, reallllly show the fuck up and see how outside of your comfort zone you can get, how many sections you can accomplish in one workout –or for some of you, you threw down with big goals to accomplish over both workout times, or extra time before or after. And this really is what November Project is all about. Use the power of the collective to get past what you would do on your own. Good job, my friends.

volunteer opportunity

You may have heard about November Project becoming an official non-profit organization and the intention to provide youth programming, as well as the amazing free fitness opportunities you’re all familiar with every MWF in Boston. We get to start the beginnings of a figuring-out-some-things pilot experience here in Boston, as we further the development of November Project the non-profit. So, here’s the opportunity:

We’re looking for members of our Boston community to volunteer as Assistant Recess Coaches, with the organization Playworks. In this role, you would help kids in your community discover their best selves by volunteering in our partner schools. As a volunteer, you’ll be trained and supported to be a consistent, caring adult in young students’ lives. You’ll model empathy and inclusion, cultivate youth leaders, help students develop sports fundamentals, or promote special school events. And I’m sure as you’re reading this, you’re already thinking of a million questions you want to know about. So, SAVE THE DATE for Oct 16th (Wed, in the evening) for an info session with our Playworks partners. You’ll be able to learn more from them, ask every single question you have, and learn if this is the right volunteer opportunity for you. Anyone can show up to the info session–and there’s no pressure to commit…just show up and learn more.
