I think my favorite moments at November Project are those right as after I’ve left the workout. I realize that sounds kind of bad, like, “the best thing about November Project is when November Project is over…” but that’s not what I mean. What I mean is that there’s this really wonderful, pleasant, calming sense of accomplishment I get after we’ve put on a great workout. We’ve just watched the sun come up from the top of a giant hill, seen all our friends at ungodly hours of the morning, put on a great workout, got LOUD and ran FAST, and now I get to appreciate that job well done while whizzing down Folsom street heading home in the early daylight. I get a quiet chance to reflect on the craziness of the last 60 minutes, and I usually just smile to myself and think, what the fuck am I doing, haha (but in the best way possible.) It’s 6:45am, most people in this city haven’t even thought of waking up yet. It’s kind of like a “man, we’re all totally crazy, and I love it” sort of feeling. Anyways, that feeling was pretty strong today. Just an awesome morning.
Gil- Happy birthday, man. What else can I say that hasn’t already been said already today. Happy to have you in our tribe, happy to have you as a friend. I will do my best to make sure you get your positivity award sooner or later, but, you know, no promises.
Have a great weekend everyone!Share via socials:
