Beat the Heat Race Day
Sunshine, new faces, new PRs.
There were many new faces at today’s Race Day due to our recent recruiting efforts at Indyvolved, an event for community non-profits. The tribe brought the energy to Indyvolved turning some heads.
Teacher Jon’s recruiting efforts came through in a big way during the 5:28 group. It was the first race day for much of the early group. Times were fast…. This might be the week Stew gets dethroned….
The newbie count soared for the 6:15 group. They picked the best day to show up, and we’re glad they did. The tribe welcomed the newbies and everyone got in a few Fuck Yeahs. The new faces faced a new challenge trying to complete Race Day as fast as possible. Some modified and gave it their best effort with positive vibes and encouragement from tribe members. With each new face there is a new story and new possibilities.
After the workout I had the privilege of having coffee with James Laker, a core tribe member. We enjoyed some light conversation about religion, tribes, and new recruits. He reminded me of the impact of carrying important symbols, which are gateways into stories and experiences. This is our #GrassrootsGear. Display it proudly and share the NP vibes and stories with everyone around you.
