Cops and Robbers
It’s a bad feeling: walking into your home to find a stranger actively robbing your house.
After a long day at work yesterday, I was shocked when I went to open my front door and found a man standing there – even more disturbing that he had made himself at home in my house and gone through all of my personal belongs before running off with my stuff.
Luckily, because I startled him, he didn’t get the chance to take much, but he did manage to shake me.
I didn’t get much sleep because of it and as a result, I woke up tired and a bit grumpy. It’s not hard to get into a negative frame of mind when something like this happens and I would be lying if I said I was above it. Needless to say, I did not want to #justshowup this morning and lead the bounce.
BUT, I am so glad that I did. It’s hard to think “people suck” and “woe is me” when you are quite literally surrounded by incredible people who when you ask “All good?” remind you in a booming voice “FUCK YEAH!” before they shower you with hugs and high fives.
So, I wanted to thank you guys for being so freaking positive and inspiring that it changed my whole mood and perspective around. I hope you know that just by showing up and being yourselves that you help make me a better version of my own self.
I also want to thank Trevor, who was super supportive when I couldn’t meet him to make the final plans for today and agreed to change the workout so that I could make light of the situation by doing a cops and robbers themed duel.
So thanks tribe for being such a positive force in my life.
Peace, love and cacti,
