I cannot express how satisfying these stairs have been. It’s not to say we’ll always be at this particular set of stairs but after a year away this location has really given me the feeling of playfulness that I have really missed. Whether that’s finding a person and challenging them with an exercise, them challenging me, or just the amazing sunrise my heart is full. Side note: I was not prepared for how hard Dennis’ “the wood is lava” game would be on the stairs. I utterly failed and if you don’t know what I am talking about well you’ll just have to show up next time. I am noticing the drive and determination you are putting into these workouts and goodness it is inspiring – seriously who chooses to do 30 reps of burpees…you…your badass self did #impressed.
Good morning Ottawa Olympians! What a beautiful morning of competition. And a busy morning at that. We went running, climbing, swimming, surfing, kayaking, canoeing, rowing, weight lifting, cycling, diving, boxing, trampolining, pole vaulting, and sailing, just to name a few. On top of that we hit up the track, the soccer pitch, the baseball diamond, the gym, the vault, the trampoline… not easy competing in every Olympic sport in the span of 31 minutes but hey, no one said being an NP-lympian was easy work. Thank goodness we were able to refuel properly at Kettleman’s shortly afterwards.
